金山寺，泰国著名佛寺，曼谷王朝拉玛一世王时期建成。座落在首都曼谷的人造小山“金山”上，山顶的金色塔内珍藏有释迦牟尼佛的一颗舍利，从而成为泰国乃至东南亚的佛教圣地。

Golden Mountain Temple, a famous Buddhist temple in Thailand, was built during the period of King Rama I of Bangkok Dynasty. Located in Bangkok, the capital of the man-made hill "golden hill", the top of the golden pagoda contains a treasure of Shakyamuni Buddha, thus becoming Thailand and Southeast Asia's Buddhist holy land.

2014年9月26日，泰国政府出资在中国洛阳白马寺建造的泰国风格佛殿落成，将金山寺释迦牟尼佛舍利安放在了白马寺的舍利塔上，成为中泰两国友好和文化交流的见证和象征。

金山寺座落在曼谷人造小山，即“金山”上，是泰国著名佛寺，曼谷王朝拉玛一世王时期建成，拉玛二世王进行修葺。

拉玛四世登基后，加建金山，设山道直达山顶。

山顶建佛塔一座，由山麓至塔尖的高度为63米，由于曼谷四周是一片大平原，故金山寺成了曼谷最高的寺庙。

佛塔的修建延至拉玛五世当朝时才完成。

塔内供奉佛祖释迦牟尼的舍利子，据说佛骨是1868年在靠近尼泊尔的印度境内一座古塔中发现。寺内大殿供奉一尊大坐佛，是泰国最大的铜佛。

坐佛后面是佛教壁画。每年11月末在此举行礼佛盛会，全国信徒从四面八方涌至参加，热闹非凡。

建筑规模

金山寺周长330米，由山麓至塔尖的高度为63米余，由于曼谷四周是一片大平原，故金山寺成了曼谷最高的寺庙。

金山寺在王朝第三世君主修建以前，没有如此壮观和昌盛。

第四世君主登基后，加建金山，设山道直达山顶。顶端建佛塔一座，此项工程延至第五世君主当朝时才完成。

金山佛塔完成后，第五世君主将皇室所藏的佛齿赐奉于塔内，使泰国人民更视金山为庄严的佛教圣地。沿着石级登上寺顶，俯瞰远眺，整个曼谷市容，可尽现眼底。

每年泰历12月15日是泰人最喜欢的节日——水灯节。在这一天人们除了依照习俗赏玩水灯节外，还要到金山寺去观礼。在庆祝盛会期间，佛塔被装饰得美轮美奂，僧侣们用红丝绸布裹在塔上，并缀满七彩的灯泡，入夜以后灯光和明月交互辉映，使佛塔增添了庄严之美，也成为游客和摄影家们喜欢的地点。
